Each piece is handcrafted using intricately hand carved wooden blocks and is an original work of art distinguished by the work of the artisan, the particular lot of dye, and even varying weather conditions. Tonal variations are inherent to the block printing process and enhance the individuality, character and uniqueness of each creation.

Inspiration for Dreams of India: The Dreams of India collection is inspired by the timeless, ubiquitous, sari that holds within its bountiful folds the traditions, secrets and mysteries of the art of female adornment. Using hand block printing with gold paste overlay, we have tried to recreate the look of India's resplendent Benarasi silk saris with their myriad hues and skillfully woven shimmering gold zari motifs and borders.
The Shimmering Goldstone, in rusty spice hued orange, is one of the seven jewel toned hues in the sari inspired Dreams of India collection. Goldstone is man made and symbolizes human ingenuity in the search for wealth and beauty. The delicate gold orbs in the print are just as alluring as the shimmery gold flecks in true goldstone.
