Astro Boy, known in Japan as Mighty Atom, is a managa series that centers around an android that was created to replace the son that Doctor Tenma lost. After realizing that the android won't feel the void left by his dead son he sells Astro Boy to an evil circus owner, Hamegg. After some time Professor Ochanomizu, the head of the Ministry of Sciences, sees him performing in the circus and convinces Hamegg to turn him over and he becomes his legal guardian. He treats him good and becomes a superhero fighting crime, evil and injustice.
