Just place in between the mattress & the sheet and its thermo-lining reflects body heat and warms a crib or bed up to 10 degrees above room temperature. This warmer does not cover the entire mattress, it is meant to cover the area where the person sleeps, therefore it will be slightly smaller than the mattress.
